Mimpi Resort Menjangan
Description
Set on the shore of a lagoon-like bay in the northwestern coast of Bali neighboring the Bali Barat National Park and the famous diving site of Menjangan Island, the resort is built to simulate a Balinese village with 30 terraced patio rooms and 24 walled courtyard villas. All villas feature their own hot spring tub and six of them have private natural stone dip pool. Its location preserves an ideal setting for diving, snorkeling, canoeing, sea-biking and an easy exploration to discover the flora and fauna of the Bali Barat National Park.
Restaurant
A half-floating restaurant is beautifully set up right at the water edge of the bay. View overlooks a waveless lagoon-like bay surrounded by lush mangrove vegetation and untouched monsoon forest. A string of East Java mountains with its peak Mount Ijen can be easily viewed from its wooden deck painting silky sillouhuete during the sunset hours. Food, service, presentation and setting in Sunset Restaurant is all flawless. The restaurant floats on the quiet waters of the bay and opens up to changing colors of the evening skies. Embraced in cool evening breezes, you can enjoy your dinner and conversation in peace and tranquillity with your friends and loved ones, unaware of the hours.

Mimpi Resort wants to protect its local environment both above and below water. They are working to build a sustainable growth of their business.
Mimpi Resort has played an important role in founding a community-based conservation initiative.
"Friends of the reef" program
Using a boat donated by WWF a selffunded marine patrol is regularly conducted minimum 4 times a month.
Beach and unterwater clean-up combined with reef check and monitoring activities supervised by WWF is also regularly conductet.
A seaweed-farming program was started in 2003.
Discovering nature, above and below water, is the core of their product. Awareness tip in each guest room helps each guest to be aware of what and how they can help protect the environment whilst exploring the wonder of nature. Strict control is undertaken through an eco-friendly guiding to ensure each guest cooperate to this.
Local community is an important co-partner with whom Mimpi Resort has worked to achieve its objectives. Business growth can only be achieved and secured in a place where the community itself is also developed. Much effort has been made to undertake this philosophy and commitment. These are just some of them :
- Assist to build several local temples
- Helping to build a public bathing facility in the hot spring of Banyuwedang.
- Promote and support local participation in the manpower. Nearly 75% of Mimpi team consists of locals from the surrounding villages who were not ready man power at first hand.
- Getting electricity installed to 12 houses of villagers neighboring the resort including an elementary school (SD 4 Pejarakan)
- Maximize the use of local products.
